Design

The ViewSonic XG2402 is one of the most minimalistic monitors you’ll see in the gaming scene. The ViewSonic XG2402 is a 24″ monitor that comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Even though this is a full HD monitor, it comes with all the features gamers would need in a monitor. We have a TN panel here and not an IPS one. As a result, you might find some usual drawbacks seen in TN panels.

The monitor comes with a maximum brightness of 350 nits which is more than enough for most people. The FreeSync starts from a minimum of 40Hz and goes as high as the monitor supports.

Other Features

You can use the OSD controls to control the settings of the display. The button can be found facing the bottom on the right side. The main picture settings on the OSD are the brightness, contrast, sharpness, ECO mode, Color temperature, and aspect ratio. Under color temperature, you will find more granular settings such as sRGB, bluish, native, cool, warm and user.

The blue light filtering setting on the monitor can be pretty handy especially when you sit for a long time in front of the monitor. There are six presets namely standard, game, web, text, movie, and mono. Each preset comes with a different level of blue light emission. For example, you’ll get the least blue light in the mono mode and a bit more in the text mode and the most blue light in the standard mode.
